Pa&Ma December Issue

Somebody tagged me on Instagram telling me that my Pa&Ma magazine feature was already out, end of last month. I was in Jakarta at that time, so I told my husband to get a copy.

He got two. One for us, one for my parents. My mum was in it too.

Yes people. That woman in the black tudung is my mom. And she’s 56!

Anyways, thank you Pa&Ma for featuring me and my girls (and my mum) in your personality section.
Just one thing tho…

Saya bukan kelahiran Ampang. Hehe 😀

Pa&Ma Photoshoot

Had my very first magazine photoshoot a few weeks ago. It was for a Personality section (if I’m not mistaken) for Karangkraf’s parenting magazine, Pa&Ma.

They actually wanted to do the shoot at my house but I told them to do it at my parents’ place instead for the obvious reason: they’re place is A LOT nicer than mine. Heh.

My girls’ favorite place to hang out: my mum’s coffee table. Seriously.

Ok I know this is my first time doing a magazine photoshoot but I think I enjoyed it the most compared to being interviewed on TV or the radio. Coz I don’t need to talk! Haha.

Lights, camera, smile!

We did a few shots – myself, with my kids and with my mum (because my husband wanted to stay low profile *konon* :P).

My only problem with photoshoot is that… I don’t really know how to pose by myself especially when I’m standing. I don’t know what to do with my hands and legs. Should I cross my legs? Put one hand on my waist? Tilt my head? Mannn. I wish my sister, Wani was there to help me! I felt… awkward posing by myself. I guess it was that obvious because the karangkraf team kept on telling me to relax. Hehe.

Wearing lace print shawl and sequined cuff blouse both from Mango, ASOS bow belt, Khloe Kardashian for Dorothy Perkins pants and Jessica Simpson lace shoes

With my lovely mama. So many people thought we were sisters.

Anyway, my section will only be out in a few months’ time so I will let you know then. Thanks Fatin and Akma for your time!

NST Life & Times

OMG guys. It’s out… and I look so tembam! *cries*

Fine, I am tembam. 😛

It’s so surreal seeing myself on the front page of NST Life & Times. Thank you NST for featuring me (and my girls)!

NST Photoshoot

Had an interview and a photoshoot with NST yesterday, about a topic that I reaaally love: ONLINE SHOPPING.

I was excited and didn’t remember being nervous even tho that was my first time doing a photoshoot for a newspaper. I was just a little shy to pose in front of the camera, but oh well, that’s me. Hehe.

My girls were there too!

I wore a shawl from TudungPeople, floral blouse from Nasty Gal, Kim Kardashian for Dorothy Perkins jeans and one of my favorite Jessica Simpson shoes.

The whole time I was like, how do I pose? Are my legs ok like this? Am I smiling too wide? Because my upper gum is big and I’d look like a horse if I do so. I absolutely don’t want to look like a horse.

Then the photographer suggested that my girls join the photoshoot. Cool! But they need to change first.

If I knew my girls were going to join the photoshoot as well, I would have dressed them up in coordinating dresses and shoes! But never mind. Color-blocking, yo 😛

I was asked to bring a few of my online purchases for the photoshoot that are significant to me and my God, it was so hard. How do I even choose which one not to bring? I love them all, especially my shoes. I wanted to bring 5 pairs of shoes at first, but there were no space for other items. In the end, I managed to squeeze in 3 pairs of shoes, a bag, a few of my girls’ dresses, some necklaces, books and a couple of jackets that I love in one small luggage!

It will be out next Monday, so if you wanna know about my online shopping story, get a copy ya! 😀

Favorite Lifestyle Blog nominee?

I came across Malaysia Social Media Week website from Dr. Halina’s blog and was surprised to see that my blog is nominated in the Favorite Lifestyle Blog category. I mean, seriously? Haha.

Thank you tho, to whoever nominated and voted for me. It’s an honour to even be nominated. I don’t expect to win it and it doesn’t matter, really. What matters is you, who read and follow my blog. Your support means so much to me and I love you for that. *hugs*
