Bag Cleaning

I noticed the bags that I have my eyes on are mostly white and neutral colors.

Like these beauties…

But the thing about light-colored bags is that they stain so easily! Especially white. I have 4 white bags and 2 of them are so dirty as a result of being worn to death (they are a lot dirtier than in the picture actually).

My poor bags. The Mini Lin Speedy lagi la. The material is canvas and it has become yellowish and there are brownish stains at the corners of the bag. Macam kepam jer. How do you clean your stained bags? I dare not clean the bags myself because I’m afraid of ruining them (have never tried leather cleaners for bags either), so I’m sending them away for a professional bag cleaning at Atelier. Saw the deal on Milkadeal some time ago and I bought 2 for both my bags. They are in a serious need of cleaning!
The deal has ended tho (sorry lupa nak share), but I saw a similar one, also on MilkadealCleaning of any kind of handbag by Spinn Laundrette Services for only RM58. There are some before-and-after pictures and they look promising.

This is the first time I’m sending my bags for cleaning. I hope they turn out alright!

A shopaholic’s dream

If there’s one thing I could do all day without ever getting bored, it’s SHOPPING.

Just thinking about it makes my heart leaps. The mall is probably the only place I don’t mind being all alone by myself. I don’t care if I have to wait for hours for someone if I’m in a mall. As long as I’m surrounded with shops, I’d be the happiest!

There’s a reason why shopping is called “retail therapy” – because really guys, shopping is therapeutic *smirks at my husband*. The sight of the things your heart desires and the satisfaction when it finally becomes yours… there’s nothing like it! *hugs my Alma*

At La Valle outlet in Paris – one of my best shopping moments.

I believe all women love shopping. Even my 90-year-old grandma loves shopping! I remember a couple of years ago when she was in KL, we took her to Jusco and she shopped a lot! She bought food, sofa pillows, kitchen towels, flower vase, slippers, some clothes and other knickknacks. I’ve never seen her shopped like that before. She said, “Sedap membeli ni” in her Pahang slang. LOL. Now I know where my shopaholic-ness came from.

But yeah, I do admit, going on a shopping splurge can cause damages to your wallet. Which is why I have this secret little shopping fantasy. I often fantasized about being the 10,000th shopper in a mall and someone at the entrance would go like, “Congratulations! You’re the 10,000th shopper today and you just won yourself RM10,000 shopping spree!”.

Oh well, it may just be wishful thinking but there’s something quite similar.

I just found out that Celcom Xpax is giving away awesome shopping sprees. I don’t know if you’ve heard of TALK-A-THON before, but if you’re on XPAX, U.O.X or S.O.X, you might have a chance to win RM5,000 shopping vouchers! I ♥ ZARA

I’ve been buying most of my clothes from Zara lately. It’s my favorite brand for blouses, besides Topshop. But Topshop rarely makes long sleeve blouses la, kan? Payah betul nak jumpa. Kalau ada pun, they are usually super see through and freaking expensive (RM300++). -_-
When it comes to clothes, my motto is “kalau ada yang cantik dan sesuai dan tak lebih dari budget, beli!” even if I’m not planning to buy. Because really, I think it’s so hard to find chic tops that are suitable for hijab-wearing ladies, so when I found one, I just have to grab it because if I don’t, nanti balik rumah menyesal. Lepas tu mula lah episode memunggah almari sambil menjerit, “I don’t have anything to wear!” ;p

My recent purchases from Zara. Love the colors!

Speaking of Zara, I just found out that you can buy Zara online now at www.zara.com. They don’t ship to Malaysia tho, but you can always use HopShopGo. I don’t think I’d buy anything from the women’s clothing line because after converting and calculating, it’s better to buy from the stores here, unless if they’re not available. Like for example, my orange blouse (as pictured above). Here it’s RM199; online is slightly cheaper – 59.90 USD (about RM179) but after shipping and whatnot, jadi lagi mahal.

What I’m more interested in is the Kids’ clothing. OMG so chic! I feel like getting a few for my girls (why is it only One Utama saja yang ada Zara Kids/Baby? It’s far from my house and I have only been to that Zara store twice ever since having kids).
Baby girl (3-36 months)

Girls (2-14 years)
I think the girls’ dresses are a bit… grown up-ish, doncha think? It’s cute alright (what with the belts), but I’m not so sure about the idea of kids dressing up like adult. Hmm.
p/s: Letak nama Zara untuk anak perempuan pun sedap…

Totes & Purses for Lil Girls

Little girls love copying what their mommies do and wear – from performing solat to wearing mom’s handbags. It’s so darn cute!

It’s great there are bags just for little girls (sorry sayangs, you can only borrow my bags when you’re at least hmm….20. Ok fine, 18). I’m loving these bags from Pumpkin Patch and Gymboree, especially the black Kitty purse.

Thinking of getting it for Ayra. She loves cats. It’d be purr-fect for her.
