Korean beauty brand, Hansaegee Nature, just launched Vacci Luxe Collection, which is their new range of mineral make up. To be honest, I have never been interested with mineral make up until last month when I attended a mineral make up beauty workshop. I must say, I was surprised and impressed how mineral make up has healing and beautifying properties. In other words, mineral make up is good for the skin!
There are a lot of benefits of using mineral make up as it is pure and made of minerals naturally found in the earth such as titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, mica and iron oxide as well as plant extracts. Unlike traditional make up, mineral make up doesn’t age skin, clog pores and cause acne flare-ups! How awesome is that? If you have sensitive skin, you really should try mineral make up as the earth’s minerals used in the make up could actually soothe sensitive skin.
I was given a few products to try, and decided to do a simple everyday make up tutorial using the Vacci Luxe Collection.
I got to choose the shade and color of each product and they are:
1) Make Up Base in 10 Green
2) Loose Powder in 20 Natural Beige
3) Blusher in 310 Pearl Pink
4) Stick Foundation in 21 Natural Beige
5) Lipgloss in 610 Peach Brown
6) Mascara in Black
7) Pencil Eyeliner in Black
Ok, let’s get started!
As usual, always start your makeup with a clean, moisturized face. Besides the mineral make up, I was also given this N.M.F Aquaring Ampoule Mask. It’s a moisturizing sheet mask, made of highly concentrated formulation of natural ingredients that helps to balance and purify skin.
Your face is now ready for make up!
Dot some make up base on your cheeks, nose, forehead and chin, and blend. If you’re looking for an easy way to perfect your skin without wearing thick layer of foundation, color correcting make up base is the trick. Vacci Make Up Base comes in 3 colors: green, violet and beige. If you have redness and acne, use green as it neutralizes flush. If you have sallow and dull complexion, opt for violet because it helps to counteract yellow tones. If you have dark circles or bruises, opt for beige colored base as the color offsets purple tones.
Then continue with loose powder. Sprinkle the powder onto the puff, then rub the sides against each other (like rubbing out a stain) so that the powder gets into the puff. Then press/dab the puff all over your face. Do not swipe the puff as it would rub off your foundation.
Since this is a simple make up look, I’m skipping the eyeshadows and just going to line my upper and lower lash lines with a liner. I like that this Vacci pencil eyeliner has a smooth texture, making it easy to work with. The color is pretty intense too and doesn’t smudge.
Next, is one of the most important steps in my make up routine – mascara! It helps to open up your ‘window to the soul’. Mascara can really make a difference to your whole face. Apply several coats of mascara on your upper and lower lashes for longer, fuller lashes.
And then apply blusher. I don’t know about you, but I like to apply blusher after my eye makeup. I chose this pinkish shade for a fresh, perk-up look. This blusher has a subtle shimmer which I like, as it gives my face a glow.
Finish it off with a lip gloss. I love the texture (it’s moisturizing!) and the color of this lip gloss. I’m wearing Peach Brown shade, which is a nice soft peachy color with a hint of shimmer. Besides the natural mineral ingredients, this lip gloss contains Vitamin E so it’s actually good for your lips.
The final look
(I’m wearing Onulaa Dual-Sided Shimmery shawl by the way)

Capital FM is currently running a memory game on their radio station called ‘Capital FM Reconnect” and I got the opportunity to watch how the DJs carried it out live in action at their studio last week. It was actually my second visit to the studio (first time was last year, for a radio interview).
The memory game runs from 6th to 24th May 2013 and during the 3 weeks of contesting, listeners will have to guess the correct memory combination in order to win. You know the memory game card you used to play, where you have to choose 2 cards and flip them to see whether the pictures match? Well this is like that, except you cannot see the card, you have to listen! More challenging, eh? But you can download this template from Capital FM’s website to help you with the game.
Each numbered box actually represents different amount of cash and various aspirational prizes, and each caller gets to choose 2 numbered boxes and see whether they are a match. If the caller successfully match the two tiles, he/she wins whatever prize that is in the box – it could be an all-paid weekend getaway, spa packages, beauty products, cash of up to RM20,000 and many more. This games runs 6 times a day – twice on ‘Talk of the Town with Joanne and Xandria’, once on Capital Wave, twice on ‘The Jam Break with Debs and Non’, and once on ‘Groove Down with Priscilia’.
I arrived at the studio at around 9 am, where Joanne and Xandria were having their ‘Talk of The Town’ segment. I was quite surprised to see another person inside the studio. It was Naz, the TV presenter! Turned out, they have invited guests for the ‘Talk of the Town’ segment where they talked a wide range of topics with their guests, besides interviews and fun contests.
Then it was the memory game contest. The first caller of the day called and chose the 2 numbers from the boxes…. and guess what? SHE WON! Lucky woman!
All these whiles, I only listen to the DJs and songs on the radio but that day, I got to see with my very own eyes how they managed the cue to call and everything. I was like, “Ooo…macam tu rupanya”, all the time I was there. 😛 It was quite an experience!
My girls, especially Ayra, loves accessorizing. She hardly goes out without at least a necklace or a purse, even is it’s just a short trip to the grocery store. Every time after getting dressed, she would open their accessories drawer and choose either a necklace/bracelet/purse/headband/hat that matches her outfit of the day and asks for my opinion whether it looks nice or not (it usually is!).
Her most favorite accessories would be necklaces. I usually buy her necklaces from Cotton On Kids, Pumpkin Patch and Diva for kids. Then recently, she wanted to make her own necklace using beads (I think she saw it on YouTube). I thought it would make a great craft project so I went to the nearest Toys R Us to look for children’s DIY necklace kit.
I think I spent more than half an hour trying to choose which kit to get for my girls. There were at least 10 different jewelry kits and they all looked really fun and interesting! There’s one that has like a zillion plastic beads in different shapes and colors, another one comes with its own bead organizer, there’s charm jewelry sets, floral necklace kits, feather jewelry kits, slap bracelets kits, jewelry braiding kits and there’s even beads that can change color when come in contact with water. Man, why didn’t they make these things when I was little?!
After what seemed like ages, I finally chose something. I decided to get these basic wooden bead kits from Totally Me for my girls. I think it’s great for first-timers and preschoolers because they won’t be overwhelmed by so many beads!
I measured the string around my girl’s head and left a few inches at the end of it to tie it up since this is a basic necklace (doesn’t comes with any clasp and whatnot). Then I tied a knot a few inches from the end of the string so that the beads won’t fall, and let my girl work on her necklace.
Ayra really enjoyed making her own necklace, deciding which bead color and size to choose to make a color pattern. She kept on saying, “This is so fun!” while stringing the beads. 🙂 Not only it’s fun, but I also read that stringing beads can actually develop fine motor skills and improve hand-eye coordination in preschoolers. Good to know, right?
Haha so I actually made the purple and black necklace for Raina. There’s a reason why this kit is for kids ages 5+… because my 2++ year old girl kept on putting the beads inside her mouth thinking they were candies! Maybe she’ll just stick to puzzles for now.
My preloved clothes sale on my shop will be starting really soon and I’ve added a new feature for the payment that I think I need to tell you about, in case you’ve never heard about it.
There’s this thing called Maybank2u Pay which I found out just a couple of weeks ago from Nuffnang. It’s basically a payment facility designed for small online business/blog shop owners which allows their customers to pay directly by clicking on the Maybank2U Pay icon on the blog shop. That means, blog shop owners like me don’t need to wait for email from customers telling that they have made the payment and customers don’t need to email proof of transaction, yada yada. It simplifies thing (thank you Maybank, for creating such thing)!
You can read more about Maybank2u Pay here.
Anyway, I thought of showing a step-by-step guide on how to purchase stuff from my shop using the Maybank2u Pay since it’s still quite new. It’s pretty simple and straightforward. Here you go!
1) As usual, click ‘Add to cart’ on any items that you wish to purchase. The added items will be shown on the right section of the page under ‘My Cart’. Once you are done, click ‘Checkout’.
2) On the Checkout page, fill in your shipping and billing information. Tick on the ‘I accept the terms & conditions’ and click ‘Place Order’.
3) Then, you will get to the payment page. See that yellow Maybank2u Pay icon? If you’re a Maybank2u user, click on that. (If you’re not, that’s ok. I’ve also provided details for other payment method).
4) Once you’ve clicked on the Maybank2u Pay icon, a Maybank2u page will appear in a new pop-up window. Login as usual.
5) In the Maybank2u window, fill in your email, the total amount of your order (including shipping) and the description of transaction (you can put your order number as provided). Click ‘Continue’.
6) Click ‘Request a TAC number’ then fill in the TAC number and click ‘Confirm’.
That’s pretty much it!
Don’t worry, my blog shop is listed in Maybank2u’s verified blogshop list. You can check here (scroll down and find Thepinkstilettos Shop).
Hope this helps. Happy shopping! 🙂
