Jewellery Storage

The mirrored jewellery cabinet that I purchased from Groupon finally arrived last Thursday!

Can you believe I lugged this big boy all the way from the entrance door, up the stairs and into our room BY MYSELF?! *blows nails*

It was around noon and there was no one at home at the time, except me and Kenit. My husband will only be back at around 5 pm and he probably wants to wait until after tarawih to assemble it. I couldn’t wait that long!

I gathered the things I thought I’d need. Turns out, no other tools needed because they already included the L-shaped screw thing (don’t know what it’s called).

All the parts were alphabetically labelled so assembling it was easy.

It only took me half an hour to finish assembling everything with the help of my bed.
Behold my new jewellery storage!

I spent the next couple of hours arranging my jeweleries. That’s the best part of the process! Raina didn’t even kacau me because she was busy playing with my iPhone.

Before this, I used to stash all my accessories inside a drawer that comes with compartments. It was fine at first, but as my jewellery collection grows, I ran out of space to store them and my necklaces got all tangled up. I needed a bigger storage, one with necklace hooks or hangers because I think that’s the best way to store necklaces. This jewellery cabinet solved my problem. And it comes with a mirror so that’s an added bonus!

I love that I can see each and every jewellery that I have without having to take them out one by oneΒ (like I did previously) because I tend to forget what I have in my collection.

Β Rings at the very top (chunky ones are placed in the compartment below the necklace),
necklaces hung on the hooks, bangle in its own compartment, skinny belts at the bottom

I don’t have/wear earrings so I put my corsages and ribbon-tie necklaces on the earring holder instead.
Bracelets have their own place too. And so are my pearl necklaces.

Dressing up is more fun than ever now!

Hi, May I ask is this 2012 edition? The arch on the top of it shown is 2012 edition but the bottom is like 2011 edition, I’m thinking to get 1 pc for myself but not sure which one is better! Between, my concern is about the length of the mirror, would it fit for a person around 5’3? Sorry for my stupid question. Thanks!!!
